Job Description

We are seeking a Capital Project & Maintenance Supervisor to join our chemical plant operations team. This role combines maintenance management, project leadership, and team supervision to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations within the plant. The successful candidate will manage both employees and contractors while supporting plant operations through strategic maintenance planning and capital project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise maintenance employees and contractors, including performance management, scheduling, and conflict resolutionPlan, schedule, and execute maintenance activities using SAP, including daily maintenance and plant shutdownsSupport capital projects from Front End Loading (FEL) through construction and commissioningImplement Management of Change (MOC) processes for projects and improvementsDevelop detailed work scopes, job sequences, labor estimates, and bills of materialsProcure materials, equipment, and services while managing project budgets and timelinesCreate installation and repair procedures and build job kitsAnalyze data to identify root causes and implement corrective measuresSupport technical training for operations teamsEnsure compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs and regulations.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited universityMinimum 3 years of experience in chemical production environmentDemonstrated experience managing employees and capital projectsStrong knowledge of Process Safety Management and ISO 9000/QS 9001 quality systemsProficiency with SAP maintenance planning and schedulingExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsStrong leadership and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to work autonomously and manage multiple assignmentsWillingness to work overtime and weekends as neededForklift operation capabilityAbility to create piping diagrams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Project Management certificationSix Sigma or LEAN Manufacturing experienceSix Sigma training or equivalent Quality certification.
