Chemours is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing Mining and Minerals Business Capital Engineering team! This position will report directly to the Capital Engineering Manager in support of our Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida locations. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while also requiring travel to designated locations for project oversight and collaboration.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Work with plant engineering, operations, and maintenance personnel to design and implement new facilities and upgrade existing processes consistent with business objectives.

Evaluate alternative design concepts and specific scope options via life cycle cost analysis.

Develop discipline specific scopes of work, estimates, and specifications, including all required quality assurance required to satisfy corporate and recognized industrial standards.

Develop asset capitalization and project accounting structure within SAP.

Develop a project schedule including key design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and readiness to operate tasks.

Interface with contractor design resources, support contract engineering management to include project controls and design.

Interface with equipment suppliers/vendors to discuss design issues and resolve problems.

Interface with construction personnel, Chemours and contractors, to resolve construction issues and monitor field labor productivity.

Oversee project cost by monitoring and forecasting project spend and exercising good project change management practices.

Ensure all project deliverables are achieved by overseeing and facilitating completion of scheduled project activities.

The position is hybrid remote to include weekly travel to Chemours Southeast GA and Northeast FL mining and minerals sites for meetings, customer engagement, general project oversight and support. Site visits predominantly daytrips, overnight as needed per project implementation demand.

The following is required for this role:

Bachelor of Science in engineering, preferably mechanical or mineral process engineering.

Minimum of 5 years of industrial experience, either in manufacturing, mining or in capital project management

The following is preferred for this role:

Strong leadership skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

Ability to build consensus between different work groups on scopes of work

Ability to facilitate meetings with well documented objectives, outcomes and tasks

Strong oral and written communication skills

Knowledge of mechanical integrity/quality assurance standards

Project Team Leader Academy attendance or equivalent project management training (PMP certification)

Understanding of methodology to develop project economics

Ability to translate business objectives into a project scope of work

Ability to lead preparation of estimates

Ability to create integrated schedules and analyze task duration, sequencing, critical path, etc.

The candidate should preferably be based in Northeast Florida or Southeast Georgia, close to Chemours mining and mineral sites.

Pay Range (in local currency):

$105,280.00 - $164,500.00

Annual Bonus Target:

11%
