The Global Business Development team is a dynamic, innovative, and strategic team within the Autodesk worldwide sales organization, focused on fueling growth with the company’s largest, enterprise customers and scaling growth with the ecosystems of our customers. The team is driving demand for Autodesk solutions in the marketplace through actionable industry thought leadership and strategic business development programs that make our technology a unique fit for industry challenges. The Senior Business Development Executive for Capital Projects/Programs is a strategic role in the sales organization that directly interfaces with large Architecture, Engineering and Construction customers and their ecosystem supply chains working on Capital Programs to understand the application and influence the use of Autodesk technology
This work falls into two broad categories, “fueling growth” with our largest named accounts through actionable industry thought leadership and “scaling growth” through business programs across industry sectors. The Business Development Executive for Capital Projects/Programs will influence the decision makers at our largest clients and with the owners of projects and puts Autodesk in the middle of our customers' supply chains, positively impacting named account, mid-market, and territory clients.
This is a remote position in the United States reporting to the Sr. Manager of Global Business Development.
Responsibilities
Influence decision makers in the Capital Projects/Program ecosystem including key Autodesk customers and both public and private organizations
Perform as a Thought Leader for the Capital Projects/Programs Industry and represent Autodesk, Autodesk technology, and Autodesk interests with customers, industry associations, Autodesk events, and conferences
Help our customer in winning new work by assisting them with proposal and RFP responses where Autodesk technology can influence the solution architecture of a Capital Project or Program.
Work closely with Industry Strategy and Product teams and provide information valuable to their strategies around Capital Projects/Programs
Develop, execute and manage ecosystem strategic programs to influence the customers of our customers, and the supply chains of our customers
Influence customer business initiatives and decision-makers through actionable thought leadership
Develop essential and effective relationships with executive-level / senior-level AECO customers and personas
Translate customer business initiatives, challenges, and opportunities into unique business value for Autodesk, ensuring the Autodesk team delivers Business Value to their client account(s)
Assist Autodesk teams in achieving growth and revenue targets with existing and new customers, work closely with Autodesk account teams on identifying and qualifying ecosystem opportunities
Development and execution of repeatable plays and insights to Autodesk account teams across all tiers
Drive adoption and growth of Autodesk solutions within this ecosystem through collaboration with Autodesk internal teams, Autodesk customers in all tiers, and other industry stakeholders
Drive strategic imperatives to maximize the impact of Autodesk customers on the entire industry ecosystem
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years’ experience working in the AECO industry with applicable sales or business development experience
Specific experience in Capital Projects / Programs
Strong project and engagement management skills with a demonstrable history of effective projects
Previous experience working with industry associations, holding positions of influence in an association preferred
Credible and experienced with business & technology trends in Capital Projects / Programs
Experienced with, and able to present digital transformation and platform use cases
A proven track record in attaining results as part of a team
Travel: 25%
Preferred Qualifications
Government and public sector experience a plus
Influencing: Ability to inspire and influence through knowledge of effective tactics and strategies; ability to impact the decisions of Executive personas within an organization
Strategic Business Development: Develops and drives areas of business growth at all levels from our customers to their eco-systems, their industries, and global presence
Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of an organization's industry group, economic & technology, challenges, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters
Innovation: Develops and drives new ideas, technology and initiatives that improve an organization's performance
Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts to enable sound decisions and business change in the context of our customer’s business outcomes and Autodesk growth

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $148,200 and $239,800. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.Sales Careers
