Capital Projects Coordinator (Hybrid, Full Time)

Summary:
The Capital Projects Coordinator supports the management and oversight of all phases of projects/renovations (typically up to $1,000,000) across the broader Sheppard Pratt, including all hospitals, residential, schools, outpatient, community programs, and housing locations. This includes planning scopes, budgets and schedules; prioritizing; assisting with project execution by managing clients & contractors; assuring adherence to plans schedules; assisting with capital budget development; and reporting on project performance/status. Assists Capital Projects Manager with larger projects, as required.Requires:
Work requires ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; knowledge of building codes, architectural and engineering drafting practices and building construction and renovation practices, extensive knowledge/experience with MS Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Project acquired through: high school diploma/GED plus at least 5 years of related experience, including at least 1 year in a project manager role; or an AA degree in engineering or related field plus at least 3 years of related experience, including at least 1 year in a project manager role; or Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of experience, including at least 1 year in a project manager role. Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) preferred. Experience with AutoCAD preferred. Work requires interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with and respond to internal management and staff, to establish and maintain successful working relationships with clients, vendors, contractors, architects, engineers and other consultants in order to meet project objectives, and to manage assigned staff. Work requires problem-solving skills to plan and coordinate numerous construction projects and to assure that the work is done in a safe, organized, cost effective manner that meets the plan requirements.
