A career in our Capital Projects & Infrastructure Managed Services team will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients understand where they might have vulnerabilities and develop solutions to manage the risks involved. We prevent, respond to, and remediate a wide range of business threats, risks and complex issues.
Our team helps clients plan, finance, manage and deliver large scale capital projects and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contract management, negotiation, and compliance, combined with the ability to support various engineering projects, manage stakeholders, and mitigate risks. As a key player in our projects, the Contracts Engineer will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and managing contractual agreements, ensuring that they align with company policies, client specifications, and legal requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Contract Drafting & Review:
Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts for a variety of projects, ensuring clear, accurate terms and conditions that align with project objectives and legal standards.
Draft contractual documents, including scope of work, terms of payment, indemnity clauses, risk management provisions, and timelines.
Assess and mitigate potential risks related to contract performance, compliance, and commercial obligations.
Contract Administration:
Administer and manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely execution, monitoring, and performance of all parties.
Track and manage milestones, deliverables, and changes to scope, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
Maintain organized records of all contract-related documentation, including amendments, extensions, and correspondence.
Negotiation & Stakeholder Management:
Liaise with internal teams (legal, procurement, project management) and external stakeholders (clients, suppliers, subcontractors) to resolve contract-related issues and ensure smooth contract execution.
Negotiate terms, payment schedules, and change orders with clients and subcontractors.
Advise on the impact of contract terms and changes on project costs, schedules, and performance.
Risk Management & Compliance:
Identify potential risks related to contract performance and take proactive steps to mitigate them.
Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.
Monitor and report on contract performance, including any potential breaches or disputes, and provide guidance on resolution strategies.
Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare regular reports on contract status, progress, and performance metrics for senior management and stakeholders.
Assist in preparing claims, disputes, and resolution documentation as needed.
Collaboration:
Work closely with project managers and other technical teams to understand project requirements and ensure contracts reflect the necessary details.
Provide advice and support to cross-functional teams on contractual matters throughout project lifecycles.

Required Language Skills:

Minimum Education and Specific Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
FIDIC Knowledge.
KSA contract knowledge is preferable.
Years of Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in project management and project controls, including contract drafting, contract administration, procurement and tendering, reporting and communications, contract management, negotiation, and compliance, combined with the ability to support various engineering projects, manage stakeholders, and mitigate risks. As a key player in our projects, the Contracts Engineer will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and managing contractual agreements, ensuring that they align with company policies, client specifications, and legal requirements. Preferably in the Middle East region.
