Capitalization Business Manager

The purpose

Currently we are looking for a candidate for a role of Capitalization Business Manager.

The Corporate Capitalization department is a part of the corporate strategic finance partner department, with the CFO and CEO as its main stakeholders. This department is responsible for calculating the capitalization of development costs, providing support, and conducting monthly analyses of capitalization and amortization by project for all Amadeus Business Units.

Furthermore, it assists the Business Units during the planning exercise and provides additional analyses of capitalizations. The department is also in charge of collecting and reviewing documentation for capitalized projects and performing impairment tests reviews in compliance with IFRS.

In this role you'll be responsible for:

SWID capitalization and D&A controlling process of TRD, AAO, and Navitaire BUs:

Perform the monthly closing process, reporting, and presentation preparation. The team provides analysis (vs. previous year, vs. budget), understanding of the figures (by projects), underlying trends (by ratios), and summarizes main highlights comprehensively for the financial community and business partners.Conduct bi-annual meetings with VPs to align on the evolution of the projects.Provide support to BUs on capitalization analysis (investigation of candidates, set-up of new structures, etc.).

SWID capitalization and D&A compliance process of TRD, AAO, and Navitaire BUs:

Gather and analyze the IFRS compliance of the documentation for capitalized projects (feasibility study, business case, etc.).Review BS and D&A. Obtain exit criteria sign-off.Manage the iPPM portfolio structure: approve new items and flag new phases. Review the model attributes.Conduct impairment analysis of all tested projects, identifying potential risks and problems. Obtain and review all updated business cases.Prepare impairment test documentation, approval, and sign-off.

Planning processes

Budget, Forecast, and LTP for TRD, AAO, and Navitaire BUs for capitalization and SWID D&A.Act as a business partner to simulate capitalization in real-time in each planning version and support the business in decision-making. APH: BPOP, FFC.

Collaboration tasks

Collaborate with the team on a quarterly basis for the preparation of Research & Development, Capitalization, and Amortization reporting to Investor Relations and top management.Collaborate with the team to provide external auditors with all necessary information and documentation for the key audit matter of capitalization. Also, collaborate with the team to perform all internal controls and internal reviews.Provide support to coordinate tasks, priorities, and perform reviews to the trainee team member

About the ideal candidate

University degree in Business Administration and Management/ Economics/ Finance6+ year's working experience in a similar environment multinational matrix organization or a top tier Auditing firm.Experience with Assets, Assets under Construction, Balance Sheet and analytical analysis skills.Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), accounting and consolidationKnowledge of Microsoft package  (excel expert) and user of SAP (S4 HANA), iPPMEnglish & Spanish Excellent, written and oral. French and/or German - an advantageUnderstanding of the travel industry. Knowledge of Amadeus business is an assetAbility to work under pressureCapacity to interact efficiently with distant and multicultural teamsSelf-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reportingPassion, Integrity and Energy
