Find out more below! **Role Summary** As a Captain, you will lead a team of Operators to prepare, pack and dispatch shipments to all our customers. Ensuring that duties are effectively allocated to the team of Operators, supporting with training, inventory and stock taking and identification of continuous improvement opportunities. The role operates a 37-hour week, Monday to Friday, on a rotating 2-shift basis as follows: - Week 1: Monday - Friday 6am – 2pm. - Week 2: Monday – Friday 2pm – 10pm **Key Responsibilities** - Effective allocation of duties to the team of Operators. - Ensuring that customer shipments are shipped on time and in full to the required standard. - Accurately completing electronic transactions using the Warehouse Management System, SAP EWM. - Ensuring the safe operation of forklift trucks, order pickers, other powered mechanical/electronic handling equipment. - Perpetual inventory (PI) counting and stock taking. - Deputise for Shift Supervisor when required - Ensure the adherence of the Distribution Centre and its personnel to all Health and Safety standards. - Coordinate Operators’ training needs. - Identification of continuous improvement opportunities. - Partnership with the manufacturing leadership team as required. - Liaison with Load Planning Team & Transport provider to ensure correct vehicle loading **Essential Skills & Experience** - Previous experience within a warehouse environment within a supervisor capacity. - Ability to learn new skills and duties quickly. - Have a positive, can-do attitude to work and show the willingness to learn and progress. - GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English. - Full UK Driving License - Experience of SAP EWM is desirable. - Counterbalance and Reach forklift licenses are desirable but are not essential. **Why Choose Kohler?** We empower each associate to #BecomeMoreAtKohler with a competitive total rewards package to support your health and wellbeing, access to career growth and development opportunities, a diverse and inclusive workplace, and a strong culture of innovation.
