As a Capture Excellence SME, you will be the driving force behind turning promising opportunities into game-changing wins. From strategically assessing capture readiness to crafting razor-sharp strategies that resonate with our customers, your work will define success. You’ll partner directly with capture managers and teams to sharpen win themes, develop groundbreaking solutions, and ensure milestone sessions—like Black Hat reviews and How-We-Win workshops—deliver actionable insights that propel us ahead of the competition. Your expertise will help transform the Leidos Win Plan into a cutting-edge methodology that leads the industry.

Primary Responsibilities

Support full Win Plan activities for critical and priority capturesSupport capture teams in the tailoring of the Win Plan for a specific captureOn-demand training to assist capture teams with Win Plan knowledge gapsProvide teams with best practices associated with capture artifact development to ensure effective integration of win themes, customer hot buttons, and discriminatorsEvaluate the progress of priority captures, ensuring alignment with customer priorities and key milestones such as Black Hat, Price-to-Win, and strategy sessions.Facilitate workshops to extract actionable insights, strengthen capture strategies, and ensure milestones produce meaningful contributions to the overall capture plan.Assess capture health across critical milestones, identifying gaps and ensuring teams adapt strategies to address weaknesses effectively.Develop and refine methods for optimizing critical capture activities, including reducing timelines and improving milestone outcomes.Support the Win Plan methodology as it grows and improvesDevelop new methods for increasing PWinDevelop new methods for increasing capture efficiency

Basic Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

Bachelor’s Degree with a combination of 15+ years of experience8+ years of direct hands-on capture work experience of sizes ranging from $25M to $200MDeep expertise in leveraging milestone-driven processes such as Black Hat reviews, Price-to-Win analysis, and competitive positioning for complex captures.Experience implementing capture health checks and providing corrective guidance to optimize capture outcomes. Expert knowledge of the business development lifecycleStrong experience as either a capture manager or proposal managerExperience with facilitating workshops or reviewsCompetent with process improvement techniques and principlesStrong written and verbal communication skillsSound decision-making and prioritization skillsSuperior planning, scheduling and coordinating skillsAn upbeat, positive, outgoing and personable demeanor with the ability to interact and relate well with Health Solutions BD, Line, SA and capture managersDemonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a commitment to completion of projects on a timely basisA desire to learn and work within a team environmentSome local travel outside of the Reston VA area will be required to support reviewsProficiency with Microsoft Office products such as PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, and TeamsMust be a US citizen

Pay Range:Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
