Overview

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Capture Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities. As a Capture Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing capture strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving the entire capture process from opportunity identification to proposal submission.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

Opportunity Evaluation:Conducts thorough market research to identify potential business opportunitiesAssesses competitive landscapes and analyze industry trends to inform capture strategiesEvaluates and prioritizes potential opportunities based on strategic fit, risk factors, and alignment with organizational capabilitiesCapture Strategy Development:Collaborates with key stakeholders to formulate effective capture strategies aligned with organizational goalsDefines win themes, discriminators, and value propositions to differentiate our offeringsBid/No-Bid Decision:Leads bid/no-bid decision processes, considers factors such as risk, resource availability, and alignment with corporate objectivesCompetitive Intelligence:Gathers and analyzes intelligence on competitors, providing insights to enhance the company’s competitive positioningCross-Functional Collaboration:Works closely with sales, business development, technical, and proposal teams to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to capture effortsFoster collaboration and communication across departments to maximize expertise and resources.Proposal Development:Oversees the preparation of compelling proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements and alignment with capture strategiesProvides strategic input and guidance to proposal teams throughout the development processLeads and participates in gate reviews/color team reviews to assess progress, make bid/no-bid decisions, and adjust strategies as neededRisk Mitigation:Identifies and assesses potential risks associated with specific opportunities, developing risk mitigation strategies to enhance the probability of successEnsures adherence to all relevant government regulations and compliance standardsBudgeting and Resource Allocation:Collaborates with finance and leadership to develop capture budgets and allocate resources effectively for pursuit effortsProposal Pricing Strategy:Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop competitive and compliant pricing for proposal effortsPost-Award Transition:Maintains accurate and complete documentation for all capture activities, ensuring compliance with internal processes and proceduresFacilitates a smooth transition from the capture phase to contract implementation, ensuring continuity and customer satisfaction Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)Proven experience in capture management within the government contracting industryStrong understanding of government procurement processesExcellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentDemonstrated success in winning and managing large-scale, complex contracts.
