Carbon Grower Engagement Specialist
The Carbon Business Model is a key strategic initiative for the future growth ambitions of Bayer Crop Science (BCS). In BCS’s Carbon program, farmers implement certain sustainability practices, which are then merited and verified before payment occurs. Bayer, in turn, has ownership of carbon rights from that farmer and can retire or sell into the market. In this role, the Carbon Grower Engagement Specialist will develop recruitment and acquisition tactics to enroll farmers in our carbon program.
This position is residence-based within the Midwest.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
Develop grower recruitment and acquisition tactics with key stakeholders including, but not limited to seed production growers and targeted commercial growers to ensure enrollment goals are met
Coordinate and implement marketing strategies, grower and internal training, and education to achieve enrollment target goals
Support the execution of enrollment tactics with key retail partners
Provide input into future program offers and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Generate new grower engagement opportunities, identify and contact decision makers, screen potential opportunities, lead and facilitate implementation of selected opportunities
Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations
Works as the liaison between Carbon Marketing and the Sales Organization. Collaborate with cross functional teams to execute initiatives on Grower acquisition
Development and evaluation of metrics and impacts. Be able to measure initiatives in place, demonstrate business impact, and seek future improvements
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
5-10 years of experience in supply chain, customer care, digital agriculture, sales enablement, Marketing and/or Product Management
Ability to implement and execute tactics with key stakeholders through challenges and opportunities; facilitates solutions
Results orientation with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously
Excellent oral, written, and communication skills to onboard, motivate & engage others at all levels of the organization
Proven ability to plan and manage resources
Experience building data driven plans to develop, check, and act based on both qualitative and quantitative information
Customer journey understanding to guide commercial tactics on growers' acquisition
Understanding of the sales environment and processes
Preferred:
Master’s degree in Business or related field
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $100k to $155k. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..
