Carbon Technician - 1st Shift - Up to $22/hr

Opportunity Highlights

 

Pay: $19-$22/hr based on experience  1st Shift 7:00AM-3:30PM Monday-Friday  Great start to a career in environmental compliance!  The Opportunity

 

The Carbon Technician role will be responsible for managing the carbon status across all production areas of our East Chicago facility. Working closely with the Air Compliance Specialist, this role will ensure timely adjustments and actions to maintain compliance our production processes. 

Key Job Responsibilities

 

Follow all regulations, standards, and internal policies, to ensure Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and promote a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.  Inspect and replace carbons of each production area of the facility as needed Assist the compliance team as needed: Assist with labeling/applying drum diamonds Spill kit management/stocking Overpacking poor condition containers  Basic housekeeping around container storage areas Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management. Qualifications

 

A high school diploma or equivalent   Ability to learn how to perform RCRA and carbon inspections Forklift certified or ability to obtain forklift certification
