We are seeking a highly motivated Registered Nurse to provide expert care in our fast-paced cardiovascular clinic. This position provides hands-on patient care in an ambulatory environment performing cardiac device interrogations. This challenging role is ideal for a tech-savvy nurse who will perform pacemaker/debrillator analysis and, in collaboration with physicians, program devices to correct values and optimal settings. We provide a supportive, team-centered atmosphere of highly knowledgeable staff that foster continual learning and career growth in this rewarding field. This is a day shift position with no weekends or organizationally recognized holidays required.** **About the Role:** As a Clinic Cardiac Device RN, you will play a vital role in providing professional nursing care focused on the testing, retrieval, and analysis of information stored in implantable cardiac devices (pacemakers, defibrillators, loop recorders, etc.). You will work collaboratively with a team of physicians, other nurses, and technicians to ensure the highest quality of patient care. **Responsibilities:** + Provide pre- and post-procedure counseling and education to patients and families. + Perform in-clinic interrogation and reprogramming of implantable cardiac devices. + Perform routine remote interrogation and monitoring for daily device alerts. + Develop initial device analyses and generate preliminary reports. + Triage and conduct patient visits post-device insertion. + Alert practitioners to urgent issues requiring immediate action. + Administer cardiovascular and pharmacological stress tests (as appropriate). + Interpret EKG findings. + Complete cardiac risk assessments. + Perform nursing triage activities. + Document all studies, procedures, and interactions in the electronic medical record. + Manage and coordinate pre- and post-procedure patient education and scheduling. + Educate patients and families on device-related topics and remote transmitters. + Apply professional clinical judgment in assessing complex patient problems. + Provide guidance and mentoring to peers. + Participate in approved research studies (as needed). **Qualifications** **Education/Experience:** + Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing and two years of related work experience that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities. Work experience in a cardiology-related field is preferred. + Work experience in med/surg, telemetry and/or a cardiology-related field is preferred. **License/Certification:** + Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Washington State Board of Nursing. + Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. **Pay Range** $42.29 - $64.46 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
