A Cardiac Device Specialist provides patient and provider support by using in person and remote technologies to aid in diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions. This position is responsible for the interrogation, interpretation, and programming of pacemakers, Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICD) and Cardiac Resynchronization (CRT) devices for a complex and diverse cardiovascular patient population.\n
\n

Roles and Responsibilities:\n\nConducts clinic and remote device interrogations and management for Pacemakers, ICDs, CRT devices, and ILRs under physician supervision.\nRecognizes, documents, and reports abnormal findings to providers and prepares standardized remote reports for review.\nTroubleshoots and addresses device malfunctions and arrhythmias, seeking appropriate therapies for both basic and complex issues.\nEducates patients and families on device function, follow-up scheduling, and home monitoring; handles patient enrollment and clerical tasks.\nCollaborates with healthcare professionals to ensure proper patient follow-up and manage device-related regulatory issues.\nIdentifies workflow improvement opportunities and assists in developing operating policies and procedures in collaboration with clinic leadership.\n\n

Required Skills and Experience:\n\nCertificate of completion from an approved cardiac device technical school\/program preferred or educational equivalent and clinical experience to qualify for Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) certification.\n\n

Preferred Skills and Experience:\n\nBachelor's Degree Preferred\nAllied Health Education\n\n
\n

Physical Requirements:\n\nAble to stand for long periods of time; requires manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination. Able to perform light lifting, up to 40 pounds.\n\n

Location and Travel Requirements:\n\nOnsite at 40 Catherwood Road, Ithaca, NY 14850 (Ithaca Mall)\nShift: Full-Time - Days, Flex\n0%-5% Travel can be expected in this role\n\n

Pay Range Disclosure:\n\nStandard Rate of $16.20 to $21.63 per hour plus benefits\n\n
