Position Description

The Monitor Technician Intern works under the supervision of a licensed nursing professional or experienced Monitor Tech, learning how to analyze and interpret rhythm strips, provide on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors/remote telemetry and provide RN’s and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms.  

Position Requirements

High school diploma or GED Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Preferred:

Knowledge of basic cardiac anatomy/physiology and medical terminology Basic computer skills Previous customer service experience
