Job Responsibilities:

Perform Cardiac Ultrasound procedures according to guidelines established by the Medical Director, including Transthoracic Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, Stress Echocardiography, and Echo with contrast. Operate ultrasound equipment effectively, utilizing knowledge of equipment, scanning techniques, and patient protocols to produce optimized images and documentation. Assist physicians with invasive procedures and ensure compliance with universal protocol standards. Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures, alleviate their concerns, and gain their cooperation. Accurately code and identify completed exams for electronic processing and storage. Review patient history and assess physician orders to ensure optimal results based on departmental protocols. Document patient history in the electronic record as required. Function independently and maintain flexibility to cover shifts, on-call responsibilities, and satellite locations when needed. Work across multiple clinical areas, ensuring adequate staffing and supporting department needs.
