The salary range for this position is $41.64 - $52.06 (Hourly Rate)

Description

The Echocardiographer reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

The Echocardiographer's primary responsibility is to provide, under the direction of the Medical Director and Team Leader of Cardiac Testing, in accordance with the doctor's written order, all echocardiography procedures. This role performs all duties in accordance with the policies and procedures of NM.

Qualifications

Required:

Thorough knowledge of cardiac anatomyExperience in adult 2D echocardiograms and dobutamine stress echoesWillingness to learn and gain competency in stress echoes and pediatric echogardiogramsAbility to push, roll, move patients, the ultrasound machine, and furniture in order to perform examsThe ability to function independently requiring greater individual judgmentExcellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writingHigh school graduateTechnical Training in Cardiac Echo technology or Ultrasonography programProfessional echocardiography certification (RDCS)BLS certificationPhysical Demands: A physical demands test provides an objective way to identify if a candidate can meet the essential tasks for the job the candidate has applied for at Northwestern Medicine. The testing protocol was established with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).Job Role Requirement: 10 lbs outstretched arm hold at shoulder for 60 seconds. 50lbs lift/carry 36 inches. Push/Pull 50 lbs
