Cardiac Sonographer - PRN

Echo experience or completion of an echo program is preferred. Work is of medium demand requiring standing and walking, and operation of equipment. Basic medical terminology is preferred. Must be comfortable in a surgical setting. Basic computer skills are required. Must be able to take call on weekdays, weekends and holidays. Must be a High School graduate or equivalent.
Patient population served is above 18 thru geriatric. Recognizes the normal signs (growth and development) of the patient populations indicated above and understands the requirements of assessment, treatment, and care of the specific age group.

Prepare and maintains ECHO Suite for daily activitiesSchedules cases to coordinate with other examinationTransports patients, prepares patients for proper examinationsPerforms Cardiac techniques and examinationsMaintains quality control checks in accordance with policy/maintenance requirements, ensures clean and safe working environmentCleans and performs daily maintenance of equipmentMaintains required educational requirements to perform duties, assists in preparation for inspections by JCAHOPerforms clerical and patient charge dutiesCollaborates with hospital personnel and physicians to ensure optimal patient care and promote a positive working environment
