Position Purpose
This position is responsible for the deliverance of safe patient care to the adult patient under the direct supervision of a physician or a registered nurse during Electrophysiology procedures. Working closely with the electrophysiologist, cardiologist, cardiac nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure safe and effective patient care during procedures such as cardiac ablations, cardiac device implants, ep study, loop recorder, tilt table, and watchmen procedures.
What you will do
Responsible for trouble-shooting of equipment including quality control.Assist EP MDs with invasive cardiology procedures, use of radiological imaging equipment, set up and management of sterile field and necessary instruments.Assist in assuring all necessary equipment is sterile, functioning, and ready for use during procedures. This includes monitoring devices, catheters, and defibrillators.Perform daily inventory checks on electrophysiology equipment in preparation for cases.Assisting in Environment of Care rounding within the department.Minimum Qualifications
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Registered Cardiovascular Technology program (RCIS/RCES). AS degree or equivalent required.Licensure: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Credentialing International. CVIT Certification preferred.
