Shows skill with the use of ultrasound equipment and associated procedures. This position performs routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians and other health practitioners running efficiently. + Uses appropriate techniques with ultrasound equipment to supply diagnostic studies based upon physician request + Performs a range of technical procedures that will require independent judgment for diagnosis + Appropriately acquire echocardiographic measurements per protocol, create digital preliminary reports for the interpreting physician, and verbally communicate preliminary findings to the interpreting physician + Ability to review a physician order to verify appropriateness for order being performed + Acts as a role model in providing care; assists in precepting Cardio Sonographers I + Retrieves studies from PACS for review + Prepares patients for the study **Qualifications** **Education** + High school diploma or GED required + Vocational/Technical Diploma **Experience** + Minimum of 2 years experience performing echocardiographic studies preferred **Licenses/Certification** + Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required + Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) is required \#Jobs-Indeed \#LI **About Us** Cedars-Sinai is a leader in providing high-quality healthcare encompassing primary care, specialized medicine and research.
