Job Description:

Cardiology - Echo Sonographer

Full-Time - 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. Shift hours may vary between 0700-1700

Weekday call times are Mon-Fri 1700-0630

Weekends and holiday on call times are 1630-0630. Weekends and holidays are rotated equally amongst staff.

Job Description:

Under the direction of a cardiologist, performs diagnostic sonographic procedures at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.

Job Duties:

Selects appropriate equipment and proper technical factors on an individual patient basis according to specific orders and part of body examined.Provides technical skills as required for testing (Intravenous access and contrast administration).Provides immobilization as required and protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.Reviews patient chart and results of previous diagnostic studies and records patient’s personal and medical information.

Requirements:

Technical Diploma required / Ultrasound preferred.1 year of experience can substitute for a Technical Diploma.ARDMS or CCI board certification or Echocardiography or Vascular Certification required within 1 year of employment.

Preferred Requirements:

BLS CertificationPediatric experience
