Cardiology - NP Specialist

The Division of Janey Briscoe Cardiology in the Department of Medicine, Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio (UTHSA) is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Advanced Practice Provider (APP). For Nurse Practitioner (NP) a Master’s of Nursing is required, a Doctorate of nursing practice is preferred, and licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). NP must have national certification to practice as a nurse practitioner and hold a Texas Board of Nursing license. For Physician Assistant (PA) is required to have a bachelor’s degree in a recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to the duties of the position and completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program is required. Preferably Cardiology specialty trained. PA must have a Texas State Board-issued license.

This position serves as an APP, providing care in collaboration with physicians and other members of the health care team to the adult population with cardiovascular diseases in the outpatient and inpatient setting.
