What you will be doing : The primary purpose of this position is to assist providers with the proper facilitation of patient care and independently conduct cardiac stress testing. + Serve as a liaison between providers, departmental staff, and patients by assessing patient needs and communicating health information. + Perform telephone triage of patients with cardiac-related issues to include but not limited to symptom assessment, advice, test results, and medication refill facilitation. + Prepare patients for diagnostic testing which includes but is not limited to baseline cardiac history and symptom assessment, medication review, EKG assessment, IV-line placement, and exercise/pharmacological test performance and recovery. + Conduct cardiology diagnostic testing including nuclear, stress echo, regular treadmill, and tilt table testing; complete post-test report and EKG review, and forward to Physician for final review. + Assist Echo Technician with bubble studies and Definity IV contrast injections; Complete a monthly inspection of the code cart to ensure proper functionality and maintain inventory of supplies. + Respond to emergent situations and perform ACLS/BLS treatment. + Maintain stress lab supply inventory and order necessary medical supplies. + Complete prior authorizations for medication and diagnostic services. + Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures, in accordance with internal and legal regulations. + Manage document bin and complete necessary forms. + Perform Coumadin point-of-care testing and medication management. + Assist with medication management by performing medication reconciliation and queueing necessary refills to providers for processing. + Deliver exemplary customer service to provide a positive patient experience across the organization. + Perform other duties assigned by management. The Education and Experience you need : + Applicable State license, associate degree preferred + 2-4 years of cardiac stress testing experience preferred + Basic knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT Codes, familiarity with cardiology diagnostic tests + Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to utilize computer programs + Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS Certifications required * The pay range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant at the time of posting. When determining pay, several factors will be considered including but not limited to location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, professional credentials, internal equity, and budget.
