St Francis Medical Center, 32 hours per week

Under direction of the Rehab Operations Supervisor, the Admin Assistant provides daily support of the OP Rehab Departments. This includes daily management of referral WQ, reviewing and updating all patient registration for accuracy, benefit verification with all payers, completing estimates and notifies patient of financial responsibility. Support Front Office team by assisting with appointment call/confirm functions and other duties as requested by Rehab Operations Supervisor. 

Maintains current knowledge of all insurance companies and billing information to obtain accurate demographics, financial and clinical information and signatures form patients as determined by Mercy Health, Medicare, state and federal guidelines.Incorporates all factors to accurately enact scheduling of rehab services, utilizing EpicVerifies and documents accurately insurance coverage and patient responsibility as well as educate patient on information obtained from insurance verification with follow up on discrepancies, able to help therapists and patients with tracking insurance authorization and benefit information .Responsible to run Cost Estimator and collect point of service collection as appropriateAssists with Rehab diagnosis coding and obtaining medical diagnosis form physician office.Performs daily charge audits to ensure accuracy of charges.Supports daily monitoring of maintenance of all assigned departmental work queues.

Employment Qualifications/Education

HS Diploma or GED required, Two Year Associates, preferredMinimum two years of office experience with insurance in medical office setting.Keyboard and computer skills, high level of interpersonal skills, multitasking ability and organizational skills.Insurance and medical terminology preferred.
