The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital in Jackson, MI and Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan is seeking a Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist to join our cohesive, dynamic group.  The position is a full-time, academic, multidisciplinary team-based practice including resident and fellow clinical and didactic education.

CASEWORK AND SCHEDULE:

·         The Henry Ford Heart and Vascular Institute is an award-winning and highly recognized site by the AHA.

·         Surgical case types include: CABG, valve surgery, and aortic surgery with an increasing focus on expansion to higher acuity cases in the future.  In addition, our team supports the internationally recognized structural heart program, including: TAVR, cardiac ablations (a fib/flutter/VTach), Watchman/Amulet devices, high-risk coronary interventions.

Job Requirements:

·         BC/BE in Anesthesiology

·         A Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship is required

·         Advance Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiograph certification through the National Board of Echocardiography (NBE) is required.

·         Additional advanced training or experience beyond fellowship is welcome but not required

·         Eligible for Michigan licensure
