Cardiovascular Diagnostic CVT Tech

Position Summary: The CVT assists with stress testing, placement and scanning of Holter monitors, perform and process EKG’s, start IV’s. Ensures rooms are opened and stocked daily. Monitors and maintains PAR level of all. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Assists as necessary in all aspects of CV non-invasive procedures. Assists in maintaining and performing Quality Control on equipment. Essential Duties: + Interacts professionally with patient and family. + Maintains safe environment for patient, coworkers and self per facility policies and procedures. + Checks all equipment/instruments needed prior to each procedure to ensure proper functioning. + Respects patient’s confidentiality and right to privacy. + Prep patients for stress tests, take blood pressure, and complete required documentation. + Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors. + Application and scanning of Holter monitors + Perform and process EKG’s + Become efficient in obtaining IV access + Assists in training of students and ancillary personnel. + Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors. Education and Experience: + Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. + Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
