We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! **Organization:** SSRRH-Sutter Santa Rosa Reg Hospital **Position Overview:** The Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) provides technical services and support duties in the areas of invasive diagnostic, interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures performed in the Cardiovascular Cath Lab for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. The incumbent operates and is accountable for sophisticated, expensive, computerized equipment in providing quality patient care, resulting in accurate diagnosis and optimal treatment of congenital or acquired heart disease and peripheral vascular disease. The incumbent performs patient care duties associated with invasive procedures while maintaining maximum patient safety and comfort on all cases. This position functions in a highly specialized and unique area and must be available to participate in a varying work schedule, as part of the on-call rotation, on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. **Job Description** : **EDUCATION** + _Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma._ + Associate's: physical or health-care related science, or accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology with emphasis on invasive Cardiac and Vascular Technology **CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE** + RCIS-Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist + BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider within 60 Days of hire + ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 120 Days of hire **PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:** + Recent clinical experience/background in the areas of hemodynamic monitoring, ECG interpretation, scrubbing invasive cardiac procedures in an invasive Cath Lab **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE** + Familiar with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab + Clinical knowledge in cardiac anatomy and physiology + Recognition and interpretation of ECG's, cardiac pathophysiology, cardiac hemodynamics, and radiographic principles/procedures + Principles of radiation safety **Job Shift:** Days **Schedule:** Full Time **Shift Hours:** 8 **Days of the Week:** Variable **Weekend Requirements:** As Needed **Benefits:** Yes **Unions:** Yes **Position Status:** Non-Exempt **Weekly Hours:** 32 **Employee Status:** Regular Sutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans.
