Prior to and following physician interpretations, processes test results. Troubleshoots diagnostic ECG equipment and notifies Clinical Engineering when necessary. Maintains supplies for testing.

Responsibilities:
Performs 12-lead Electrocardiograms, Holter Monitor Hook-Ups and Cardiac Stress Testing, including 24 hour, 48 hour, and 30 day event monitors, and/or EEG testing.Notifies physicians, nurses or manager of abnormal results.Notifies secretaries of needed supplies.Maintains equipment and notifies Clinical Engineering of on going problems that can not be resolved.Education:
High School Graduate or GED.Completion of a Cardiac Technician and/or EEG program preferred.Certifications:
Credentials as an Allied Health Professional preferredBasic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from American Heart Association (AHA) is requiredComplexity of Work:
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment.Work Experience:
Minimum six months experience as an ECG tech and six months experience in Stress Testing preferred.Physical Requirements:
Hand dexterity sufficient to handle ECG equipment and Holter monitors.Standing and walking for extended periods of time.May be required to lift up the 25 pounds.Personal Protective Equipment:
