We are currently seeking a Care Access Coordinator to join our team. This role will be a key member of the supportive service team at the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes (CRCFL), working to assist individuals impacted by cancer by addressing financial needs, identifying alternative payment sources, and navigating Medicaid benefits and other resources to reduce barriers to care. The Care Access Coordinator will collaborate closely with both Cayuga Health System and CRCFL to ensure patients receive holistic support, access to critical resources, and assistance throughout their cancer journey.\n\nRoles and Responsibilities:\n\nCoordinate benefit investigations and assist clients with applying for grants and alternative payment sources.\nEnsure clients are connected to resources that address their financial needs.\nScreen clients for Medicaid eligibility and assist them in completing and submitting applications.\nTrack the progress of applications and provide updates to clients on their status.\nProvide emotional support to clients and answer inquiries related to financial assistance and program eligibility.\nDirect clients to appropriate services as needed, offering both information and support.\nMaintain accurate client records in databases.\nGenerate reports on client progress, financial assistance efforts, and other administrative tasks.\nSupport general office coordination.\nWork as part of the supportive service team at the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes, actively engaging with clients to ensure they receive comprehensive assistance.\nCollaborate with CRCFL staff to connect patients with peer support programs, educational workshops, and community events.\nAssist with CRCFL strategic priorities, events, and special projects, ensuring patients benefit from the organization's services and advocacy efforts.\nContribute to the success of team initiatives and community outreach efforts.\n\n\nRequired Skills and Experience:\n\nHigh School diploma or equivalent experience.\nProficient in Microsoft Office suite.\nStrong interpersonal skills with experience in customer service.\nGood time management and prioritization skills.\n\n\nPreferred Skills and Experience:\n\nExperience working in a healthcare or community resource setting.\nFamiliarity with Medicaid and financial assistance programs.\nBackground in patient advocacy, social work, or case management.\n\n\nLocation and Travel Requirements:\n

This role will be based at the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes, M-F 8am-4:30pm with collaboration across Cayuga Health System and community organizations. Outreach activities within the community may be required.\n
