The role you’ll contribute: AdventHealth Senior Care is looking for a Care Coordinator to be responsible for delivering outstanding experiences and high-touch assistance for our members. The Care Coordinator builds individual relationships with our members to ensure they are happy with their experience. The primary responsibilities of the Care Coordinator center around greeting members, scheduling appointments, managing member referrals, updating medical records and answering inbound/outbound phone calls. The Care Coordinator should make a lasting impression and play an important role in AdventHealth Senior Care’s team-based care approach.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Welcomes members appropriately, accurately updates, verifies and enters member demographics (including insurance and billing) and processes/scans all forms into appropriate systems. Provides education as necessary to member regarding test locations, portal use, and follow-up (non-clinical) actions.
Documents appropriately within the office’s designated system to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
Schedule and confirm member appointments.
Answers the telephone and handles calls in a timely and friendly manner including appropriate documentation of the call.
Collects copays, deposits, deductibles, prior balances, coinsurance, and self-pay payments at the time of service per department policy.

Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program and Certified Preferred
American Association of Medical Assistants (“AAMA”) for Certified Medical Assistants (CMA)
American Medical Certification Association (“AMCA”) for Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC)
American Medical Technologists (“AMT”) for Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
National Association for Health Professionals (“NAHP”) for Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
National Center for Competency Testing (“NCCT”) for National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
National Healthcareer Association (NHA) for Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
A flexible and positive attitude

Strong computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
