Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Career Advisor - Graduate and Executive Programs - Boca Raton, FL.

The Career Advisor for Graduate and Executive Programs will provide specialized career services to graduate business students, including those pursuing Executive MBA (EMBA) and professional master’s degrees. Leveraging corporate experience and academic knowledge, the advisor will deliver tailored career guidance, support professional development, and enhance connections with industry leaders. This role is instrumental in ensuring our graduate students excel in their career progression and leadership aspirations.
Key Responsibilities:
Individualized Career Advising:
Offer personalized career counseling for graduate and executive students, focusing on career transitions, advancement strategies, and leadership development.Assist with résumé and cover letter customization, LinkedIn profile branding, executive-level interview preparation, and salary negotiation techniques.Career Programming & Workshops:
Design and deliver workshops and events addressing leadership skills, executive presence, networking in the corporate sector, and emerging industry trends.Mentorship and Networking Programs:
Develop and manage mentorship initiatives, pairing students with seasoned executives for career guidance and industry exposure.Organize networking opportunities with corporate leaders and alumni.Employer Relations and Corporate Partnerships:
Cultivate relationships with corporate recruiters, senior executives, and alumni to create career advancement opportunities for graduate students.Advocate for students' placement in leadership roles and high-impact career pathways.Resource Development:
Create resources and tools that address the unique needs of executive and graduate business students, including strategies for managing career shifts or scaling businesses.Data Analysis and Reporting:
Track and report outcomes for program participants, focusing on career transitions, promotions, and leadership achievements. Use insights to refine program offerings continuously.Collaborative Engagement:
Partner with faculty, program directors, and corporate stakeholders to align career services with graduate and executive education expectations.Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of experience required.Prior experience advising students in higher education, particularly pre-professional, is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 3–5 years of experience in career advising, corporate talent management, leadership development, or a related field.
Direct experience in the corporate sector, particularly in talent acquisition or leadership roles.
Familiarity with career platforms (e.g., Handshake) and executive coaching methodologies.
Desired Skills and Attributes:
•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with executives, graduate students, and corporate leaders.
• A track record of successfully navigating diverse professional and cultural environments.
• Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
• Proficiency in leveraging data to evaluate program success and implement improvements.
