The training programme consists of 15 months of local attachment with GSK. Due to the nature of the programme, we can only consider Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents. For more information, please visit Career Conversion Programmes (CCP) for Individuals Role Description: Perform product development studies through novel chemistry, enabling a seamless scaling up to campaigns and generating data for commercial filing. Trainee to be involved in: Liaise with the R&D project team to stay up to date with process development and to translate objectives to drug product development studies in laboratory Evaluate process route in detail, select scale of operations, equipment and workflow operation steps to run the process Plan material usage and coordinate material management in studies Liaise with Pilot Plant team on setting up recipes, equipment and analytical method Conduct laboratory experiments to support studies using manual setup and automated platform Create and execute workflow recipes for automated platform syntheses Perform reaction monitoring, sample analyses, data collation and recording of results in technical reports and presentations Carry out robustness, stretching, kinetics and scale-up experiments, laboratory familiarisation and user tests to demonstrate process route and material suitability prior to campaign Conduct troubleshooting and optimisation studies Perform DOE, design space verification to generate data for commercial filing Coordinate and execute pre and post study review meeting Provide operation and process recommendations for future application Ability to organize work and handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines Ability to interpret and apply Good Documentation Practices Ensure laboratory is maintained at high safety and housekeeping standard Perform effectively in team environment Understanding of analytical methods Education: Degree in Chemistry What you will learn: Demonstrate commitment to GDP, Quality & EHS compliance aspects of laboratory scale manufacturing Excellent self-motivated team player with hands-on attitude and good communication skills Ability to conduct laboratory experiments independently Ability to understand, apply and evaluate basic chemistry, biology and physical principles Where will I be based?
