Your opportunity
Reporting into the Investment Technology Head of Program and Architecture, this role will be responsible for driving Investments technology initiatives across the APAC region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong full-stack technology background, have a comprehensive understanding of the full lifecycle of the asset management industry, and be able to effectively bridge the gap between delivery teams and JHI’s APAC stakeholders. We seek someone who is driven, a self-starter, fast learner, capable of independent operation, and proactive in problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary interface between APAC stakeholders and investment technology delivery teams.
Translate stakeholder requirements into clear technical specifications and actionable tasks.
Ensure alignment between business needs and technology solutions through effective communication and collaboration.
Partner with delivery teams on the development, testing, and deployment of full-stack technology solutions, ensuring they meet the needs of our APAC stakeholders.
Provide guidance and mentorship to delivery teams on the needs of our APAC business.
Leverage knowledge and understanding of the full lifecycle of the investment management process to:
Support the integration of research tools, market data feeds, and analytics.
Support the management of platforms for portfolio construction, risk analysis, and asset allocation.
Support the implementation and optimization of CRD (JHI’s OMS), execution management systems, and trading platform integrations.
Support the seamless operations of systems handling trade settlement, clearing, and reconciliation processes.
Support the implementation and maintenance of systems for performance analytics, attribution, and risk reporting.
Serve as APAC Lead for multiple Investment Technology projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring they are meet APAC requirements, are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Coordinate with global and regional teams to ensure smooth project execution and stakeholder satisfaction.
Provide regular status updates, highlighting risks and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Proactively identify and address technical and business challenges, developing innovative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, bringing new ideas to the table to enhance the investment process.
Operate autonomously, managing priorities and making key decisions to drive projects forward.
Take ownership of tasks and initiatives, ensuring they are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Your role may require you to interact with other JHI offices, employees and third parties based in different time zones, outside of core business hours, such as the UK, USA and Asia.
Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Must have skills
Extensive experience in full-stack development (front-end, back-end, and database technologies).
Proficiency in cloud technologies (Azure, Snowflake) and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with financial technology platforms and investment management systems (e.g. Bloomberg PORT+, MSCI BarraOne, Charles River).
Deep understanding of the asset management industry, including the full investment lifecycle.
At least 5 years of experience working in the Asset Management industry.
Experience working in or with investment teams, with a solid grasp of financial products and market dynamics.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage relationships across cultures.
Leadership qualities with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Ability to work independently, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
