Tomlinson is seeking a skilled Small Diameter Drill Operator to join our team with 2-3 years of drilling experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating small diameter hydraulic drills for micropiles, rock or soil anchors, tiebacks, soil nails, or similar types of work. Ideally we would like someone with experience on MDT, Commachio and Word Drill equipment. 

 

As a Small Diameter Drill Operator, you will be responsible for mobilizing, setting up on locations, and drilling in various soil conditions. 

 

Responsibilities: 

Operating small diameter hydraulic drills (Down the hole and Top hammer systems) 

Direct onsite crew assigned to the project 

Maintaining a safe work environment and follow OHSA standards 

Coordinating with Project Managers and Superintendents on project needs 

Collaborating effectively with colleagues and the public 

 

Education and Experience: 

Proficiency in operating heavy equipment 

Proper use and understanding of drill tools and equipment, including grout plants and compressors 

Understanding of crane rigging and signaling 

Self-motivated and eager to take on challenges 

Valid G driver’s license 

Certifications: Working at Heights is preferred 

Welding experience and preferably certification
