Your opportunity
Provide support to the Business Partners by delivering a proactive service to internal client groups in relation to all aspects of people delivery (Employee Relations, Policy guidance, EE Survey actions, Talent Reviews, Succession Planning, Compensation etc.), in addition to BAU activities First point of contact for employees and line managers seeking people advice and guidance. Assist with the recruitment process, including obtaining the relevant approvals, drafting job descriptions, liaising with the compensation team on market data, submitting new roles to Talent Acquisition Responsible for drafting and reviewing contractual and employment documentation. Provide assistance to junior managers and employees on policies & procedures and ensure policy documentation (including Employee Handbooks) are reviewed and updated regularly by keeping abreast of legislative changes. Use and analyse people data (i.e. absence management and performance) to support the Business Partners in making people recommendations to their business Provide support with life cycle Employee Relations matters (redundancies, resignations, terminations, disciplinaries, grievances, performance management) assisting line managers on process. Proactively assist with projects and initiatives and continually look for process improvements. Work in collaboration with the People SME teams, including the Reward, Talent Acquisition and Talent Development teams on compensation, recruitment, and talent review processes. Develop and maintain relationships with the broader People department and internal stakeholders as necessary (i.e. Finance, Compliance etc) including colleagues in the US and APAC Carry out other duties as assigned

Must have skills
CIPD qualified (or part qualified) Experience of working in an established HR/People team Microsoft office skills, including Excel (vlookups, pivots) Ability to balance and complete multiple priorities simultaneously. Ability to build effective relationships with business unit clients and HR peers; good team player. Able to work well independently, with little supervision. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional and appropriate manner Continually seeking ways to be more efficient and effective. Adopt a data driven mindset Employee Relations experience (redundancies, terminations, disciplinary, grievances, performance management) Good understanding of UK employment law Experience of working with line Managers.
Nice to have skills
Experience of working within financial services Experience of working within a matrix organisation that has experienced a significant level of change Experience working with EU offices and an understanding of EU legislation
