Career Opportunities: Purchaser (4804)

As a Purchaser at our Material Supply and Logistics company, you will be responsible for assisting the procurement team in sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating materials and supplies essential for our overall company operations. You will play a key role in ensuring that our construction projects have the necessary resources to operate efficiently and effectively.

 

Hours: 7am - 5pm

Location: 3150 Rideau Road

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Sourcing and purchasing construction materials, equipment, and supplies as per project requirements.

·       Coordinate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and place orders in a timely manner.

·       Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery schedules.

·       Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed to support ongoing projects.

·       Monitor market pricing of materials, source new materials, and negotiate pricing

·       Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure timely delivery of materials to job sites.

·       Resolve any discrepancies or issues with orders, deliveries, or invoices in a prompt and professional manner.

·       Follow company policies and procedures related to procurement and purchasing processes.

·       Assist in evaluating supplier performance and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

·       Provide administrative support to the procurement team as needed, including data entry, filing, and maintaining documentation.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

·       High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.

·       Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the construction industry.

·       Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

·       Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

·       Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.

·       Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

·       Knowledge of construction materials and suppliers is desirable.
