Your opportunity
At Janus Henderson Investors, the Summer Internship is a highly challenging and rewarding program, providing the opportunity to learn from our industry experts in a dynamic environment. The Quantitative Developer Intern will support the Securitized Credit team in the development of an end-to-end full stack cloud engineering application that directly serves risk, data science, and portfolio management analytics.

You will:
Gain hands-on experience with a variety of data-engineering projects, particularly using Python and SQL to build data pipelines and writing architectural procedures, all in the light of creating analytic and data science platforms. Support additional data engineering projects related to the securitized desk including CLO risk and quant platform, securitized new issue pipeline, custom indices project, secondary markets surveillance platform and securitized attribution. Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Must have skills
Demonstrated proficiency with Python. All candidates must currently be enrolled in a four-year university program with a graduation date in 2026 or 2027. Must have analytical skills with the ability to accumulate, organize and assimilate large amounts of information and make informative insights. Progress towards Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or other related degree. Knowledge of Excel Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and customer service skills. Strong communication skills. Passionate about financial markets with a curiosity about investing. Basic understanding of Finance.
Nice to have skills
Working knowledge of financial markets preferred. Github (or other version control), CI/CD and/or cloud services experience is beneficial.

Compensation information
The hourly salary range for this position is $25.00-$34.00. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This role may not be eligible for housing assistance. The internship will take place in Denver, CO and typically lasts 10 weeks between June and August. This role will remain open through January 31, 2025.
