Caregiver Lead/Med Tech Part-time NOC Shift
Overview The Peninsula Regent is hiring! Wages: $25.00 - $27.00 / hr DOE What you'll be doing: Our Lead Caregiver/Med Tech provides person-centered, individualized, direct care to residents in the facility and promote resident wellbeing and satisfaction through support with activities of daily living (ADLs). You will be the Lead Caregiver/Med Tech for our NOC shift and provide guidance and training to our Caregivers during the NOC shift. How you'll do it: Demonstrate that Pacific Retirement Services’ (PRS) Core Values—excellence, innovation, integrity, stewardship, compassion, and collaboration—are ingrained into all aspects of your role. Understand the importance of resident rights in healthcare as well as the community as a whole, and advocate for operations, processes, and decisions that are in residents’ best interests. Develop knowledge on state and federal regulations and community policies and procedures. Be constantly aware of safety and follow up on identified risks. Medication management for members in I/L and A/L, including all documentation requirements Communicate with residents, families, and team members effectively and be able to individualize communication to accommodate resident specific needs. Complete assigned duties such as, but not limited to; showers, socialization time with residents, mealtime duties, maintaining neat resident spaces, medication administration, replenishing supplies, providing clean linen, and transporting residents to appointments. Document all completed tasks and ADL’s as soon as possible. Attend all required in-services and training in compliance with state and federal guidelines and facility protocols. Support current certification with any required continuing education. Participate on the resident care team by identifying personal preferences of residents, maintaining the highest achievable level of functioning, and informing care team of critical information. Assist with preceptor program, onboarding, and training for Caregivers. Ensure competency checklists are completed for new employees whom you are precepting. Attend preceptor meetings as designated by your supervisor or manager. Assign appropriate work assignments and breaks to Caregivers. Provide direction and leadership during assigned shift. Perform other duties as assigned. About you: Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a nursing home or senior living facility as a Med Tech or Lead Caregiver. Current CPR and First Aid certification is required. Working knowledge of electronic medical records systems. Communication skills, observation skills, and knowledge of universal precautions. Demonstrated teamwork skills and the ability to work with and lead others.
