Job Information
Deliver excellent service standards for a Mitie customer and ensure the contract service delivery is of a high standard, meeting all SLA agreements. This role involves working on a large and busy site with four buildings. Daily activities will include reactive works to fix equipment ranging from desks and chairs to toilets and taps. You will also work on specialist equipment to maintain our clients' operational functions at all times. The large site will provide work both inside and outside, with an average working day step-count of 10,000-15,000 steps. A full driving license is required as driving the company vehicle is a requirement of the role. All applicants are subject to police vetting and must have a clear record or spent convictions only, due to site security. Documents for vetting must be submitted at the time of the interview.
Main Duties
Your main duties will include maintenance tasks that require basic handyman skills, porterage, and completing regular preventative maintenance tasks. You will need to successfully undertake all training required to deliver the caretaking role. Adherence to all Mitie Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures is essential. Ensure all equipment is kept clean, well-maintained, and in safe working order. Monitor all helpdesk jobs issued and address/close them within assigned timelines and SLAs. Carry out all planned and ad hoc porterage in line with SLAs and school requests. Keep internal and grounds areas free from litter. Act as the first attendee to all helpdesk jobs and resolve or provide feedback on requirements. Empty external and internal bins. Set up rooms for functions and return them to their usual layout following the function. Carry out all PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) tasks as required and in line with statutory compliance, including weekly fire alarm and sprinkler tests and monthly emergency light flick tests. Ensure access is provided for contractors and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information. Undertake any other related duties within the job holder's capability, according to the needs of the business.
