Cargo Security Carrier Manager

C.H. Robinson is seeking a Cargo Security Carrier Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for the customer’s carriers. In this role, you will be responsible for building relationships, measuring performance, and driving service improvements. As the direct representative of the customer to the carrier, you will work closely with the customer’s team, internal account teams, and carriers to ensure seamless operational integration. Success in this role requires strong relationship management, effective communication skills, an in-depth understanding of service and cost metrics, transportation industry expertise, and detailed project management capabilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

Maintain customer security policies, protocols, and procedures while developing additional security measures as needed.

Work with various global cross-functional members to develop and implement customer-specific security strategies.

Respond to emergencies and security incidents as necessary.

Provide reports on incidents and breaches, conduct root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans.

Analyze data to form proposals for improvements, including the implementation of new technology and solutions.

Collaborate to create and track performance improvement plans for carriers.

Continuously improve carrier management processes.

Publish and interpret carrier scorecards and service metrics.

Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to team and/or country-specific requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Minimum 4 years of professional experience.

Ability to travel up to 25% (domestically and internationally).

Preferred:

Professional experience in cargo security, carrier sales, transportation, logistics, and/or supply chain.

Familiarity with CTPAT regulations and requirements.

Exceptional facilitation skills, including relationship management, presentation, documentation, and accountability.

Strong root cause analysis and analytical skills.

Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at various levels within customer organizations (both written and verbal).

Ability to identify, understand, and execute market trends and pricing strategies.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
