About The Position
BGIS are seeking a Qualified Carpenter’s & Apprentice Carpenters to join our Trades team based in Invercargill. In these hands-on roles, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality maintenance and renovation services across a mix of residential and commercial sites.
You’ll enjoy a varied workload and collaborate closely with an experienced, multidisciplinary team. This is a great opportunity to apply your skills across multiple trades while contributing to essential community infrastructure.
We also welcome applications from individuals who have Completed their Pre-trade Certificate in Carpentry and are looking to commence their apprenticeship.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out residential and commercial maintenance, repairs, and renovations Install and repair joinery, linings, cladding, doors, cabinetry, locks, flooring, and fixtures Support other trade teams on project-based and integrated service work Maintain accurate job records and documentation through BGIS field service systems Uphold health, safety, and compliance standards across all worksitesWhat You’ll Bring
New Zealand Certificate in Carpentry (or equivalent recognised qualification) Experience in residential maintenance, upgrades, or renovation projects Sound knowledge of Health & Safety practices and compliance obligations Ability to use mobile apps and digital systems for time, task, and reporting management A Full (Class 1) New Zealand Driver Licence and reliable transportWhat We Offer
