PeopleReady Skilled Trades is looking for a Carpenter in Novi, Michigan. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable of commercial carpentry. The right person for the positions should have some carpenter tools which they are willing to take to the site. The carpenter should be able to frame, trim and finish counters, displays, and build other fixtures. Learn more at https://skilled.peopleready.com/referral/ . **Responsibilities:** + Accurately measure, cut, and join wood, drywall, and other building materials. + Frame structures, walls, cabinets, ceilings, doors, fixtures, and scaffolding. + Assemble and fasten material together to construct wood or metal framework of structure using bolts, nails, or screws. + Use hand and power tools including but not limited to hammer drills, drills, reciprocating saws, band saws, jig saw, wrenches, miter saw, pneumatic nail guns, tape measure, snips, and squares. + Building and moving fixtures and displays. **Qualifications:** + Minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial carpentry. + Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings. + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Display hand-to-eye coordination, mathematical skills, strength and stamina. + Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time, fully squat, bend, and kneel while wearing a tool belt. + Adhere to all OSHA safety practices and procedures. + Tools of the trade are required TrueBlue, Inc. and its brands welcome and encourage applications from candidates with disabilities.
