OVERVIEW

Archer Western Construction is currently seeking a Carpenter Helper for the Flowery Branch WRF Project, in Flowery Branch, GA.

The Carpenter Helper constructs, erects, installs structures made of wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials using carpentry hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines for jobsites including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects; provides assistance to other Carpenters on the jobsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Measures distance and marks guidelines on working surface to prepare for laying down workPrepares, builds, and installs wooden structures in line with prefabricated units to form bridges, drain structures, highway structures, walls, and additional structuresMay assist with installation of awnings, metal decking for concrete slabs (if decking is removed)Uses carpenter’s belt with carpentry hand tools, power tools, and other wood making machinery

QUALIFICATIONS

1-3 Years Verifiable Experience PreferredRequires ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladderMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditionsRequires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properlyPossess a strong work ethic and desire to learnRequires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periodsMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
