Job Type: Permanent, Full Time, Weekend, Day, Night, and Evening

Salary: $35.00 hourly for 30 hours per week

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Carpenter will deliver high-quality craftsmanship and durable construction solutions, ensuring client satisfaction while adhering to safety and industry standards.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Analyze and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and sketches to determine project requirements and necessary materials. Design and prepare layouts that meet building code regulations, using accurate measuring instruments. Cut, shape, assemble, and join materials including wood, wood alternatives, and lightweight steel for various construction needs. Construct and install structural components, such as foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls, and roofing systems. Install and finish interior and exterior elements such as doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to enhance functionality and aesthetics. Conduct maintenance, repairs, and renovations on wooden structures in diverse environments such as residential properties, hospitals, and industrial facilities. Oversee and mentor apprentices and other workers to ensure quality and efficiency in project completion. Prepare cost estimates and project budgets for clients as needed to support planning and decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 1 year of work experience in the position Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
