ResponsibilitiesJOB SUMMARY
Perform construction work; welding; piling installation; and/or other duties as assigned. Good verbal and written communication skills. Perform duties and operation of tools of the trade in strict compliance with OSHA rules. Communicate with customers and suppliers. Additional duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Applicant may be subject to environmental conditions of extreme cold; noise exposure; constantly changing work environment; irregular surfaces; slippery surfaces; moving equipment; open excavations; temporary structures; and general construction hazards.
Perform in a proficient manner the assigned Operators duties.
Maintain equipment and safety standards.
Perform duties and operation of equipment of the trade in strict compliance with OSHA rules.
Support overall job operations.
Report any incident; situations or activity that may affect the company's ability to operate safely; ethically; and profitably to the Assistant Supervisor.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise
Have basic knowledge of related construction activities.
Knowledge of carpentry on a commercial project construction work; including Form Work; Rebar; Concrete Placement and; Finishing; Survey and; Layout.
Perform independently without direct supervision
Ability to operate basic construction equipment; such as forklifts and loaders.
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to perform duties and operation of tools of the trade in strict compliance with OSHA rules.
Have punctual and on time work history.
Required Expierence
High School Diploma/or Equivalent
Minimum of Two(2) years of related experience
Physical Demands:
Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks; which require following basic safety precautions.
Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting; pushing; or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical part; fumes; airborne particles; outside weather conditions and vibration.
The employee is frequently exposed to high; precarious places and risk ofelectrical shock and loud noise levels.
When operating equipment; subject to constant jarring of body due to jerking movement of equipment and operating on uneven surfaces.
Must be able to sit in the operator’s seat of equipment and safely reach all pedals; switches; levers; buttons; etc. required to safely operate the equipment (if authorized for that piece of equipment);
Must be able to sit in the operator’s seat of equipment and have an adequate field of vision of all instruments; gauges; warning lights; as well as an acceptable field of vision out of the windows and/or mirrors (ifauthorized for that piece of equipment);
Working Conditions:
Will work in all typed of weather.
Work in different elevations.
Job site will contain light to heavy equipment; small to large equipment; materials; communication equipment and tools.
People standing; walking; sitting; signaling; and talking.
May be occasional bells; alarms; and whistles
