The relationships that WTW enjoys with its carrier / vendor and solution partners within the Health and Benefits (H&B) segment are a key component to our success and the success of our clients. As a Carrier / Vendor Relationship manager you will be responsible for managing the business and financial relationship with specific insurance carriers, vendors and solution providers.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Developing and maintaining H&B relationships with various carriers / vendors and solution providers. You will be responsible for articulating the strategic objectives of WTW, our clients and our client teams Learn about and share the strategic objectives and service developments of carriers / vendors to key WTW H&B stakeholders Leverage relationships with carrier / vendor leadership to assist H&B client delivery and placement teams with complex issues Utilize negotiation skills to update key financial agreements with carrier and vendor partnersThis role has emerged as a result of the H&B Transformation program and our increased ambition to drive better results for our clients and employees. It is a full-time colleague role and will report to the North American Carrier / Vendor Relations and Placement Leader.
The Requirements:
10+ years of experience and success within the insurance industry with preference to experience at a national brokerage organization and/or carrierProven ability to develop and cultivate strong relationships with national carriers / vendors to include carrier stewardshipExperience in collaborating with multiple people and projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget while following company excellence policies; adhere to a strict code of integrity in business dealingsExecutive presence with polished and well developed written and oral communication skillsSuperior ability to negotiate, influence and collaborate with senior management and work across all levels of an organizationDeep understanding of regulatory compliance related to benefit plans, ERISA, DOL and other related regulatory issuesExperience and knowledge of insurance business practices, policies, and professional standards within the industry and companyAvailability to travel 20 – 30%Bachelor’s degree requiredHold a valid insurance license or be willing to obtain within the first year of employment for life and health coverage in state of residenceThis position will remain posted for a minimum of three business days from the date posted or until a sufficient/appropriate candidate slate has been identified.
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $170,000.00 - $180,000.00 USD.
This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
