The Carrier Services Supervisor plays a key role in Servco’s Auto Distribution operation. This position will manage the Carrier Services department’s daily operations, maintenance, and appearance of the carriers; and work with Vehicle Processing Center’s Port Operations to sustain a continuous flow of inbound and outbound vehicles to and from our storage facilities; support our dealerships, marketing, and fleet customers in ensuring timely deliveries; and ensure quality and completeness of vehicles prior to customer delivery. This position will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and productive department to support Servco’s overall business and performance objectives.

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and updated records related to Safety, Hazmat, Environmental, and DOT CDL requirementsMaintain fleet to ensure carriers are in safe operational conditions and working with vendors to ensure safety of equipmentConduct daily and safety operational meetings with teamEstablish productivity standards and performance goals of the employeesCommunicate Servco policies and government regulations to staff and ensure they understand and followWork with dealerships to establish delivery schedule and ensure deliveries meet the delivery scheduleOperate carrier to help with various operational needsCollaborate with other department managers to prepare the department’s long and short-range goalsForecast long-range improvements for the carrier services operations, equipment, and labor

Requirements:

High school graduate or equivalentMinimum three years of supervisory work experience overseeing CDL drivers including preparing business plans, budgets, and developing policies and proceduresValid driver’s license and clean driving recordCDL A license preferredHazmat certification preferredMust be able to obtain TWIC certificationBasic automotive and trucking industry knowledgeKnowledge of Department of Transportation laws and policies as it relates to CDL A drivers and vehiclesKnowledge of Hazmat lawsProficient with Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong leadership skillsMust be a strategic planner, detail oriented and a strong problem solverCustomer focused and safety conscious
