Overview Coordinates and plans case management operations/processes/activities and finances across several jurisdictions and areas of specialization. Manages internal and external case managers and support staff including training, program operations, client support, and employee coaching. The Case Management Supervisor will be responsible to work files and to provide continuity for injured workers as required. This position will also require travel depending on the files and coverage needed. How you'll make an impact Maintains current and new licensure or certification requirements as mandated by state regulations. Assists in maintenance of national accreditation. Complies with requested reports and audits from state regulatory entities. Revises and develops policies and procedures, as appropriate. Assists in annual review of departmental policies and procedures. Communicates current and new case management requirements, client processes, and program changes to all case managers and vendors. Interfaces with continual quality improvement programs. Oversees and supports staff and develops, implements, and maintains criteria for the review process. Manages process and ensures efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy. Maintains and monitors work distribution and workflow of staff. Provides and monitors daily management reports for branch and system functions. Develops unit staffing and maintains training programs. Provides staff cross-training for continued operation efficiency. Monitors vacation reporting and timesheets. Prepares agendas and conducts staff meetings. Communicates effectively with medical providers, peer advisors, adjusting staff, government agencies, customers, staff, and peers. Interviews and hires with managerial approval. Develops and manages staff to meet or exceed goals established. Monitors and/or maintains documentation resource for verbal/written requests, inquiries, and complaints. Attends training/educational classes as appropriate Participates in quality assurance auditing. Reviews and monitors daily management reports for branch and system functions. Develops regional staffing and maintains training programs. Provides staff cross-training for continued operation efficiency. Prepares agendas and conducts staff meetings. Communicates effectively with medical providers, peer advisors, adjusting staff, government agencies, customers, staff, and peers. Participates in Nurse Case Management interview process and makes recommendations to hiring manager. Develops and manages staff to meet or exceed goals established. Monitors and/or maintains documentation resource for verbal/written requests, inquiries, and complaints. Attends training/educational classes as appropriate. Participates in quality assurance auditing. About You Required: Associate's degree or commensurate experience Must possess current licensure/registration as required Must possess minimum of 5 years clinical experience including supervisory or leadership role Nursing experience must include experience with orthopedic, trauma, intensive care, or occupational nursing Preferred: Prior supervisory or management experience a plus Workers compensation experience Work Traits: Demonstrates adequate knowledge of managed care with emphasis on use of criteria, guidelines and national standards of practice. Advanced written and oral communication skills, along with organizational and leadership skills. Self-directed and proactively manage assigned case files. Demonstrates strong time management skills.
