CASE-V Product Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Product Manager (PDM) manages a cross functional team with a primary objective to increase the profitability of CASE-V and other assigned products generating innovative solutions for a broader market. The PDM is responsible for product requirements, documentation, and development timelines. The PDM is expected to utilize their experience and judgement to plan and accomplish corporate, department, and product goals. While a PDM participates in developing the system architecture and capabilities, the primary responsibility is one of planning and process execution. The PDM must be able to foster communication with all areas of the company. The PDM will work with the product stakeholders to define product release requirements. The PDM is required to work with marketing to assist in defining the market strategy, aiding in defining the product positioning statement, key product features, and target markets. The PDM will also serve as both the internal and external representative for their assigned product offerings which will often require working with key customers. Duties & Responsibilities + Perform research into new technologies that may enhance existing or produce new products + Provide mentorship and guidance to the product development team + Ensure that all product related documentation is kept up to date + Evaluate risk and resolve issues to ensure a successful delivery of specified system requirements + Coordinate with stakeholders to develop requirements and deliver the solutions on-time and within budget + Comply with all applicable technology department processes + Manage the product through all steps of the product life-cycle, namely: Strategy, Concept, Market Entry, Development and Evolution + Prioritize enhancements to meet the needs and schedules of all associated projects + Facilitate communication to senior management and across project teams including project status, justification for variances and technical information (requirements, architecture, design and implementation objectives) + Lead and direct the work of assigned resources + Provide input into budget process, and ensure budget is administered in a fiscally responsible manner + Provide recommendations to administer promotions and salary adjustments for direct reports + Administer time-off and day-to-day personal requests of direct reports + Perform detailed software design as well as implement and/or maintain code according to duties and responsibilities + Integrate internal and external product design into a cohesive user experience + Work to improve and refine product visual design and consistency + Other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS + Bachelor's in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, Master’s desirable + 6+ Years of Professional Systems Architecture, Integration, and Deployment Experience + 2+ Years of Professional Systems Requirements Analysis Experience + 2+ Years of Professional Systems Administration Experience + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills + Strong organizational skills, have an eye for detail, and be able to put ideas into a tangible form + Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment + Demonstrated experience in leading teams that produce successful results + Ability to adapt approach to complex design problems as needed + Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new technologies + Demonstrated critical thinking skills + Ability to periodically travel as business needs dictate + Support current and potential customers though technical and strategic discussions DESIRABLE + Experience deploying Hyper-Converged Infrastructure + Advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating System + Advanced knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash + Experience working with modeling and simulation software products and concepts + Military experience in a Command and Control or Intelligence Reconnaissance and Surveillance career field + Ability to setup, configure, and troubleshoot advanced computer networks + Familiarity using JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project + Familiarity with SISO and DMO Standards + Experience in Database Management AUTHORITY + Security – Secret, Top Secret preferred PERKS As a PLEXSYS employee, you can expect certain advantages; such as advancement based on performance, competitive wages, valuable benefits and a great working environment.
