Specific Responsibilities:
Uphold agency standards, policies, and casework practices to ensure compliance with regulatory and COA standards. Coordinate and optimize the use of internal and external resources for families and children. Provide direct training, mentorship, and supervision to assigned staff. Foster professional growth through participation in workshops, seminars, and conferences; maintain continuing education requirements for state licensing. Assess caseworkers’ training needs and deliver structured instruction, supervision, support, and evaluations to enhance their professional development. Monitor, evaluate, and report on staff performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance. Create and maintain a supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration. Ensure timely and appropriate responses to client needs, in accordance with agency policies and procedures. Attend assigned team meetings, medical reviews, behavior meetings, and family team conferences. Oversee the timely submission of required documentation, including progress notes, FASPs, and permanency hearing reports. Ensure the accurate and timely entry of supervisory progress notes and other required documentation. Monitor all court cases and ensure that necessary legal actions are taken as required. Coordinate and oversee individualized treatment plans, ensuring integrated service delivery across disciplines. Support the Residential Treatment Center (RTC) visiting program, overseeing scheduling, providing caseworker support, and coordinating additional resources as needed. Provide case coverage as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Social Services.Qualifications:
Education: Master of Social Work (MSW), certified to practice in New York State. Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in foster care required. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Connections system preferred. Certifications: LMSW required; LCSW preferred. Supervisory Experience: Prior experience in a supervisory role preferred; SIFY training a plus. Compliance Requirements:o Acceptable clearance checks for the Justice Center, driver’s license verification, and fingerprinting, as required.
o Compliance with health regulations, including physical examination and Mantoux (TB) testing
