Description We’re partnering with a client in search of an experienced Cash Application Specialist to join their finance team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in optimizing the cash application process, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately while identifying opportunities for automation or efficiency improvements. Key Responsibilities: + Apply payments received (e.g., ACH, wire transfers, checks) to appropriate customer accounts in ERP systems. + Reconcile and post daily bank transactions, including incoming payments and adjustments. + Research and resolve unapplied cash, deductions, or discrepancies in AR accounts. + Partner with the credit and collections team to ensure customer invoices and remittances are properly aligned. + Monitor and report on unapplied payments and cash application timeliness. + Identify and suggest process improvements in the cash application workflow. Requirements + 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or cash application roles. + Proficiency in ERP and cash application systems; experience with SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite preferred. + Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with attention to detail. + Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities efficiently. + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred but not required. + Excellent communication skills for interdepartmental collaboration.
